Substance Misuse Structured Aftercare in Ealing
Aims of the service
To assist substance misusers in the London Borough of Ealing to maintain abstinence by regaining perspective and self-worth, helping to re-build confidence and developing the necessary skills leading to employment, further education, volunteering opportunities and leisure pursuits.
What the service offers.
Structured Aftercare is available in Ealing to residents experiencing substance misuse issues who are currently abstaining and/or on a Methadone programme.
The service covers the following key course components:
- Accredited basic to advanced skills in IT and computing
- Creative skills in graphic and web design
- Employment skills i.e. book keeping, time keeping, office procedures, presentations, etc
- Life skills i.e. motivational, confidence building, basic skills (literacy & numeracy), healthy living and eating plans, etc
- Support with interviews, job search, CV writing
- Support towards enrolling on higher/further education courses
- Volunteering and placement opportunities within industry
- Art workshops and sporting activities.
Who can access the service?
Anyone experiencing problems with substance misuse who lives in the Borough of Ealing.
