Young People's Projects
The TASHA Foundation Young People's Project is based at the Internet Cafe on Brentford High Street and supports young people aged 13 to 19, one day per week (Thursday).
Young people are able to access free internet services and benefit from healthy lifestyle/citizenship information via workshops with the Metropolitan Police, Hounslow Youth Service and other agencies on most club evenings. The workshops cover topics ranging from drugs information, sexual health, bullying, anger management, hygeine, race relations, and crime/disorder.
We provide educational and recreational visits as well as art, music and DJ/MC workshops to members who regularly attend club sessions.
There is also help on hand with coursework, CV construction and job search.
TASHA Foundation have an excellent track recod in actively supporting young people, providing 1:1 care and group support in order to help individuals overcome personal and mental barriers that may restrict development.
Alistair Roberts, TASHA's youth worker says, "I'm very proud of all the hard work and effort that the young people have put in and I must say they thoroughly deserve the new PS3 that we have recently purchased for the club".
